Term 3 2015 Dance news

Hi everyone

Here is your pre term 3 newsletter detailing the following exciting snippets of news:

New Term starts Tuesday 21 July

There will be no change to the structure of the evening at this point as a number of new starters could not make the later time.  Therefore classes start as close to 7:30pm as possible (allowing the room to clear beforehand.)  All the Audacity teachers are hugely appreciative of the Intermediate dancers who help out in the first five or so weeks of our Intro to WCS course.  It assists our new starters tremendously and the numbers add a great vibe to the class.

Term Fees

The price structure remains $149 for the ten week term unless you have a discount offer through Mark or Karolina – or you are claiming a reward.  Trevor, Brendan, Leanne and Dean all earned rewards for either introducing new students to WCS or for being extremely social and participative at our dance parties.

Pay by direct deposit, PayPal or Credit Card

Pre-payment of your term fee would be appreciated as it saves time before class.  (BSB and account details are available by contacting Mark.)  To pay by credit card please call me and I will process it over the phone and send you a receipt by email.

Going on holidays?

If you are going on holidays or for some reason you will be away with work for more than four weeks during the term then please see me for our casual rate program that only applies in those circumstances.

Where's Wally social

Last Saturday’s dance party was a hoot.  I have seen some pictures on our Facebook group.  http://on.fb.me/1Gn5SVB

Remember to join the group as this is where we announce socials and there are posts from other dance school upcoming events.  Anyway – Emily, Dean and Leanne shared the best dressed award in the eye of the judge (Mark).  Their prize is a heavily discounted term pass.

The feedback about the venue was positive.  It is a good size for our group’s current size and the floor was well rated by dance aficionado Trevor.

Charity donation

We raised $250 at the social that goes towards assisting earthquake victims in Nepal.  ($190 on the night plus Trevor isn’t going to claim his reward so Audacity will throw an additional $60 to the appeal.)

Bridal dance lessons

Karolina knocks out some outstanding choreography for wedding couples.  Paul and Erika have a neat little routine they are polishing now so we hope to show that to you in class in a few weeks time.

So make sure you recommend our services to your friends.  Our rates are highly competitive and the value for money from the time and effort we put in exceeds all other dance studios – guaranteed!

Farewell and Bon Chance!

Our teacher Courtney is off to greener pastures so we will sadly miss her as she heads off on her new adventure.  Paul and Erika’s wedding is in the USA in August.  The social club will be working with both Courtney and Paul and Erika to see if we can have our next social in celebration of their respective new and happy upcoming life events.

Help us build our community!

Please all remember that this great community of West Coast Swing only grows through your positive encouragement of friends, colleagues and admirers to come learn to dance.  And you get two rewards.  The great feeling of knowing you have made a difference by enhancing people's lives AND a 10% discount on your next term pass.

Who's hungry for a routine?

It’s been 12 months since our last team routine.  If I can get six keen dance couples/partners wanting to learn a routine then we will get cracking with a view to teaching it in term 4.

My current two favourite songs are Paloma Faith’s ‘Can’t Rely on You’ and ‘Take Me’.  Song choice needs to be one you can stand listening and practicing to for long periods.  It needs hits and energy and conveys some passion.  It should also be between 90 and say 120 beats per minute and these tick my box.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all next week of course.  Stay good!

Cheers
Mark and Karolina
